Roots

Roots is the story of Kunta Kente and his descendants. It is a very vivid and detail story about how Kunta Kente was taking from his country in Africa and sold into salvery and sent to America.

I read this book as doing research for a project in my History of the American South class, so I knew what I was getting into in terms of potential horrific content. Slavery was not nice (duh) and I was expecting to be horrified.
