Mike McNichols creates an interesting weave of family love juxtaposed by evil and the horrors of this (and other) worlds. Part morality tale, part thriller, "A Body Given" presents a new twist on laying one's life down for her friends.

I had read the first book in the trilogy and enjoyed it very much, so I knew I had to get this book as soon as it was available. I had a hard time putting it down, the author has a real talent to draw you into the lives of his characters...

This book, is actually even better than the first one in this series -( although I would still recommend reading "This Side of Death" first, A Body Given can be read on its own as the Character's are introduced well). Mike McNichols captures current real life issues that people can choose to ignore (like human trafficking) and put it into a fictional setting- but actually makes you realize how much we need to pay attention to what is going on in our world.
